"jodi" by Quarterjade
BRIEF
Jodi Lee, better known as "Quarterjade", is a variety/gaming streamer. In 2025, she's ventured into new experiences, one being singing/music making. As a celebration of such new beginnings, "jodi" is a collection of 3 album versions reflecting different songs that Jodi has released solo or with a group between 2024 and 2025.

How can I design a collection of albums that resemble typical KPop albums while breaking out of the design standard to reflect each song's unique vibe and genre?

How can I design a collection of albums that resemble typical KPop albums while breaking out of the design standard to reflect each song's unique vibe and genre?
SOLUTION
I explored the whimsical opportunity for each of these albums to "become" something: a picnic basket, a record player, and a present! Each album are standalone, but contain all three songs on each CD-R. From a version-specific freebie to lyric/melody sheets, each album has inclusions that allow consumers to experience each version in a new way.

I first poured out my concepts onto paper, stream of consciousness. I pursued representative design with each album version. From a picnic basket to a Christmas present, each album represents an item that best suits the vibe, feeling, and charm of the associated song. Some of my inspirations when creating these concepts included f(x) "Pink Tape", BOYNEXTDOOR "Who" Crunch Ver., and Seventeen "Happy Burstday"!

The first album version is the If You Do ver. Based on Jodi's personal release "If You Do", this design is based on the sweet, whimsical nature of the song. Its representative item is a picnic basket, showcasing Jodi and John's relationship throughout the music video. Sweet, a little chaotic, and a bit unconventional, this picnic basket carries small bites & personality to share!

Released on their content group channel, OfflineTV, NHIE is a KPop-esque song that channels a cute and young feeling. Its representative item is a vinyl player, decorated with stickers and covered in pinks and purples!
HEY SANTA VER.
The third album version is based on Jodi's solo cover of "Hey Santa", recorded as part of OfflineTV's Christmas 2024 album. Its representative item is a golden present, showcasing the song's upbeat rhythm!
INCLUSIONS
As generations of KPop idols have come and gone, albums and their inclusions have evolved into more unique offerings. From standees of group members to colored highlighters, more and more albums include interesting freebies to capture the fans' attention. I pursued version-specific inclusions, such as a strawberry-scented air freshener in the If You Do version, a CD keychain in the Never Have I Ever version, and a holiday ornament in the Hey Santa version!
